Warba City Council Meeting Minutes

July 17, 2000

The Warba city council met at 6:30 p.m. Call to order by Mayor Kelly McCauley.

Present: Kelly McCauley, Ellen Coffel.  Becky McCauley, Lois Holmes, Darlene Adolfs.  Absent: Doug Mericle. 

Minutes of the June meeting were read. A motion by Becky, seconded by Ellen to accept minutes as read.  Approved 4-0.  Treasurers report was presented.  A motion by Darlene, seconded by Becky to accept the report. Approved 4-0. Outstanding bills in the amount of 5,043,28.  General 1600.50 utility were presented.  A motion by Ellen, seconded by Becky to pay bills. Approved 4-0.  

Committee reports:  

Comm. Center, Mark Carlson will repair the c.c. sidewalk. 

Recreation: Becky reported on the road and play ground area.  Itasca County Rd crew is doing the work.  Mark Langanki will donate the fill. Equipment will be ordered soon.

Weeds:  Jerry has sprayed weeds in city limits.  

Correspondence:  M.S. advised the city they will discontinue pull tab gambling at the liquor store.  CAP will set LP gas rate in Aug. or Sept.

Old business: The late water bills for the motel were paid.  The Sportsmax Bldg. was purchased by Bob Berghammer of Bovey. Utility rates tabled for Aug..

New business:  A motion by Ellen, seconded by Darlene to sell the old V plow to Ed Korcia for 100.00 approved. 4-0. 

Election judges will be selected soon.  

Council approved having Bob Henry haul gravel on the Min. Maintenance road near Jim Heinses property.  Jim is building a garage.  

City streets will be graveled where needed this Fall

A motion by Becky to adjourn, seconded by Ellen. Meeting adjourned. 4-0.
